EVE Online in the news

The last two weeks have been kind of quiet gaming wise. I took another summer gaming break last week while on vacation and so far I haven't had a chance to login this week. I should be able to get back into the game most likely tonight and with the wife being out tomorrow evening, that should give me a few good hours of play.

I recently came across 2 great news article on EVE, one's a re-review at MMORPG.com, and the second is an interview with none other than Nathan Richardsson, aka Oveur, at EuroGamer. The re-review is a wonderful idea and only shows the great editorial skills of the MMORPG.com staff. As they stated, MMOs are evolving beasts, and a one-time launch-time review just doesn't cut it for these types of games.

As for the interview with Oveur, it's a great short and to the point article. If you want to know what's happening in the near future with EVE Online, then you should head over and read it. In short, the interviews boils down to:

EVE Online's success is due to:

  • Small Group of Devs
  • Modular Development
What's coming-up in Kali and beyond:
  • Player Contracts
  • Combat Organization
  • Mini-Professions
  • Vista Client
  • Terraforming
  • and let's not forget, World Domination!
The future looks promising!
