EVE Online Postcard for Monday October 11th, 2010
No words will describe the scenery captured below as I passed a gas giant on my way to my end destination. If I recall, I actually reduced my speed as I was heading to the stargate.

EVE Online Postcard for Monday October 4th, 2010
New beginnings are often, if not always about change. And New Eden is the virtual proof of that. As I gather the various modules, drones & armaments I'll need as I take my first few steps in PvP, I've had the chance to visit quite a few systems in and around Heimatar, the region where I've establish myself. The screenshot below was taken during these travels. Awe inspiring isn't it?

It's been a long time since my last EVE Postcard, but the following screenshot, which is my wallpaper as well, got me back into it. Hopefully this will continue to be a regular feature. Would love to see yours as well!

EVE Online Postcards for Tuesday March 2nd, 2010
With a new widescreen monitor comes a new screenshot resolution. After my initial excitement with this new geek toy, I of course jumped at the chance to capture some vast and majestic scenery we've become accustomed as capsuleers. The following are but examples. Enjoy!

EVE Online Postcards for Wednesday February 24th, 2010
Who ever said that mining was boring, never took a long look at the vistas that New Eden provides! Ok, ok, I may be stretching it here just a little be, but nevertheless you have to agree with Maeve on this one, that ORE mining barge (a Retriever I believe) with the star partially hidden behind nebula are drop dead gorgeous!

EVE Online Postcard for Tuesday July 7th, 2009
Treenara, my character, is Gallente. Pure Gallente. She's actually my second character. My first, Saoundra Meezo, was Amarrian. I have to be honest with you guys, I chose my characters solely based on their races' ships. And the Amarr have always had, in my opinion, the best looking ships in New Eden.
The Providence is one such ship. It gives me goose bumps whenever I cross path with one. There's something majestic about this behemoth that gets my geeky nerdy side all excited! The shot above does that every time!
What's your favorite looking ship?

And the Gates of Heaven lit up...
The following screenshots were taken earlier this evening, as I travel 20-some jumps from Khanid Prime to Zirsem.

EVE Online Postcard for October 6th, 2008
When the new graphic engine was released during the Trinity patch, ships and stations got a major visual overhaul. Almost a year later, planets have yet to get their upgrades. You can't really tell from the screenshot above, but whenever you dock at a station that's close to a planet, the difference between station details and planets simply sticks out like a sore thumb.
I do know and agree that there are more important issues that needs CCP's attention, but I just can't wait when the whole EVE universe is running at Trinity 2.0 standards.

EVE Online Postcard for September 26th, 2008
The rest of the corp and I have again changed region. After making 25 jumps earlier this week, I am now exploring the southeastern sector of The Forge, familiarizing myself with the systems and agents. Our aim is to increase our standing with Lai Dai, so I'm currently working with various security agents of theirs.
The above screenshot was taken during a mission run. I'd never seen this type of station, or if I did, they'd changed looks since Trinity 2. Either case, I loved this viewpoint and took several shots of the station, including this one which shows the whole structure.
Do you still get to see stuff you've never seen before in EVE? Are you still surprised once in a while?

EVE Online Postcard for the week of September 13th, 2008
The mighty Gallente Obelisk is one of those ships which you simply feel the urge to quickly move out of the way when you cross her path. She's got one hell of a big belly and can carry billions worth of ISKs. As such, you'll rarely see one not escorted by a combat squadron. If not, they're just asking for trouble!

EVE Online Postcard for the week of September 1st, 2008
The Amarr Providence is one of the most impressive ship ever designed by CCP. It's got that Amarr look to it, that just says "we are God's chosen, move or be annihilated".
Though the Providence is a freighter, she bestows so much power and awe you just wish you could put a few guns on her and get her in the fight. Anyways, I would!
So what are your favorite looking ships?

EVE Online Postcard for the week of August 14th, 2008
I've been running a lot of missions theses days, taking a break from my daily activities of roaming the web and LinkedIn for job opportunities. That, and working on finishing our basement. So I've been looking at a lot of gates these days, and have been remembering how much their looks got improved with Trinity 2. Just take a look at this screenshot of a stargate under Trinity I. Man what a difference! To think we thought those graphics were awesome!
We'll probably have to duck tape ourselves to our chairs when EVE goes DX10, or else we'll just fall off.
Fly safe mates!

EVE Online Postcard for the week of July 29th, 2008
Ships and stations got pimped during the Trinity patch, when EVE's graphical engine Trinity, got its upgrade to Version 2. I can't wait for the next patch which will bring planets, moons, backdrops and the likes to the same level as today's ships and station. Until then, we'll just have to live with imbalanced visuals.
/me stops whining now!

EVE Online Postcard for the week of July 18th, 2008
With Empyrean Age a month old, we're now seeing more PvP combat then we're used to. This shot, which I took earlier today, shows the ships destroyed in the last 24hours. As one can see, there a lot happening in and around Empire space.
And this is despite the fact that FW combat seems to have wined down a bit from its peak in the first week after release. If anyone has got a screenshot of the kills during that time, I'd live to post it here.

EVE Online Postcard for the week of May 5th, 2008
After 23 jumps I finally got to our new zero-zero home for the next couple of months. On this shot I'm getting ready to jump to our new POS to change ship and get ready for some ice mining. Even though planets were not graphically upgraded during the Trinity update, they still look amazingly great. What CCP will be able to do with the next update is beyond me!

EVE Online Postcard for the week of April 20th, 2008
During the past week my corporation, Phoenix Labs, has had a few mining operations in which I participated as the hauler, moving the mined ore from the belts to the nearest station, where it was processed. In this screenshot we can see the Gallente Iteron Mark IV (or III?) that I used to move the precious ore around.
I've been warping in EVE Online for almost 4 years now, and even after all this time, I find myself mesmerized by the beautiful backdrops.
I can't wait for the Trinity update that will see belts, planets, moons and other elements upgraded to the current graphic engine.Sunday, April 13, 2008
EVE Postcard for the week of April 13th, 2008
Since my return to the Khanid Kingdom, I've been running missions and mining for the corp. This screenshot was taken while docking at an Royal Kahnid Nay (RKN) station while doing the "Pirate Intrusion" mission given to me by agent Umid Ashain. I'll have more screenshots of this particular mission soon.
Just so you know, that little dot on the top right corner is my Vexor on its way to the station docks!
Fly safely in the mean time!
