You realize you play EVE Online too much when...

Inspired by a recent thread I read over the EVE Online Forums recently, I thought I'd come up with my take on the "you play too much EVE" list. I know that there's a plethora of these lists out there, but I thought I'd come up with one of my own, one that's true in my case, or has happened to me in the past.

You know you play EVE too much when...
  1. You refer to your kids as your clones.
  2. You keep click'n dragging screenshots and videos to move around and get a better point of view.
  3. You keep confusing emails and eve-mails in conversations with co-workers.
  4. Instead of saying goodbye to friends you tell them to "Fly Safe".
  5. You've had nightmares about not having a skill in training.
  6. Your Flickr accounts gets flagged because you've got way to much EVE screenshots as opposed to photos.
  7. Your largest group of friends on Facebook are all capsuleers.
  8. You...
How about you?

You try to run from an accident so you don't get podded.

You manage to check your Eve wallet and transaction history hourly for updates, but somehow ended up getting charged a $30 late fee last month for forgetting to schedule your VISA card payment.

Sorry, 1h30 AM dyslexia.

I wish I played too much EVE... it seems like these days I can only talk about it.

You consider buying a new pc solely to play eve on maximum gfx settings.

You've bought the eve board game and eve card game only to realize you no longer have RL friends to play them with!

You're driving along and then abruptly get stuck at a red light and the first thing you think is "lag!"

Some Time ago, my Bike had a flat Tire.
My first thought: "Damn. Why didn't i fit a repper?"
The second: "Maybe I should fit a rolled Thungsten, so this won't happend again... No, that slows down the bike..."

- When parking your car in the garage you hear "Docking Request…Accepted" in your head. And you like it.

Eve Online is a lot like Texas, everything is bigger and tougher in Texas.

Here's some texas philosophies applied to New Eden
1. Texas: Never slap a man who's chewin' tobacco.
2. Good judgement comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement.
3. Lettin' the cat out of the bag is a whole lot easier'n puttin' it back in.
4. If yer ridin' ahead of the herd, take a look back to make sure it's still there.
5. Never kick a cow chip on a hot day.
6. There's two theories to arguin' with a woman. Neither one works.
7. If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'
8. Always drink upstream from the herd.
9. Never miss a good chance to shut up.
10. Don't squat with your spurs on.

You extracted the music files from your EVE folder, converted them to ringtones and assigned them to all your friends and family on your cell phone.

1. You refer to trafic congestions as gate camps
2. You really wonder about the tourist bus named "Interbus shuttle"
3. You refer to the police as "concord"

Instead of making those cute calendars and mugs from family photos, you're using screenshots of your fleet of ships.

You're spending non-game time to perform a Make-or-Buy analysis on the starship components for that snazzy T2 Cruiser blueprint you invented.

The first thing you do on any computer after boot up is launch EVEMon.

First you buy the best damn gfx card you can afford

Second you spend some more to buy a 1080p 26inch screen so you can enjoy the game as it deserves (and really helps with your overview settings)

Finaly you buy 2 more screens like that and another card to run SLI - so that each of your alts has their own screen while you get them all running together in max gfx!

..you arrive at a meeting 3 hours late because you kept checking the EvE time gadget instead of the real world one.. just happened to me.. true story :-/

You don't need to play with the sound on because your brain adds all the sounds for you.

I love this post!

You know you play Eve too much when you wonder how many high slots are on the ship in the movie Wall-E.

You know you play Eve too much when you confuse your own currency with isk.

You know you play Eve too much when the only movie you've seen in months is Clear Skies 2.

Police DUI stop, first thought "Gatecamp!"

Your have EVE music on your ipod/mp3 player

You spend 4 hours trying to get eve working on your laptop despite the fact when you do get it working it's at 2 fps

I am guilty of all of these.
