The rest of the corp and I have again changed region. After making 25 jumps earlier this week, I am now exploring the southeastern sector of The Forge, familiarizing myself with the systems and agents. Our aim is to increase our standing with Lai Dai, so I'm currently working with various security agents of theirs.
The above screenshot was taken during a mission run. I'd never seen this type of station, or if I did, they'd changed looks since Trinity 2. Either case, I loved this viewpoint and took several shots of the station, including this one which shows the whole structure.
Do you still get to see stuff you've never seen before in EVE? Are you still surprised once in a while?

I do. The Trinity engine gives a fresh take on some of these things. I went to the EVE Gate a few weeks ago, which was pretty cool. I've known about it since the beginning but, for whatever reason, hadn't been there before. Nice shot in this post, by the way.
Eve gate....
You know, I have never actually been there either, in the 2 1/2 years I've played Eve. I really should make the trip.
Other than that, I still see things fairly regularly, that I have never seen before (i.e. seeing an entire fleet jump bridge using a titan - as an example).
Unfortunately however DD's are no longer an unusual event..
Also, maybe its just me, but isnt it Lai Dai, not Dai Lai?
I've never been to the EVE Gate neither. Something that I could plan in the future.
As for the Lai Dai vs Dai Lai, you're absolutely right mate. Lai Dai it is and I've made the change. Thanks for spotting that one.
It's pretty easy getting out there. It was only several lowsec jumps. My route took me through Ami, I believe, and someone had littered corpses all about that gate. :) I went to the EVE Gate in a cov ops as I was really just there to grab screenshots and check it out without being hunted down.
Just keep in mind that there are some people actively hunting in the area, but the New Eden system was completely dead when I was there. Really beautiful in the Trinity engine, not sure how it compares with its older look, but well worth the trip I'd say.
@James - Thanks for the heads-up. I'll make sure not to become one of those corpses! I'll make sure to take some screenshots when I get there!
just wonderful. Did you ever made real photos from an screenshot?
@rollinger - Real photos? What exactly do you mean by that?
Prints I think.
Mmmm, the cost of printing my EVE screenshots would be astronomical. =)
But it's not a bad idea at all. Now that I think about it...
