An Introduction to Planetary Interaction [video]

Planetary Interaction (PI) is almost upon us! With the next EVE Online expansion, the industrialist will have a ball with the planets of New Eden. No longer will they simply be decorations for the capsuleers enjoyment. Much work remains to be done until its release, but we got a glimpse of what the Devs are working on - or listening to - these days following the latest Dev Blog by CCP Hammerhead "Livin' on a Prayer".

The fine folks of EVE University were also kind enough to put together the following How To video, based on the current state of PI on CCP's Test server SiSi, as well as a short Guide. Enjoy!

Whoa. That's kinda cool. Now if only we could nuke the site from orbit!!

That is really awesome. I have sooo many questions--can't wait to see what is possible once Tyrannis is released. It does look like there is an opportunity for pirating around planets now, if you can quickly probe out and catch those who are looting their launched goodies! Wonder if those launch cans will show up on combat probes. That would be MAGICALLY DELICIOUS!

Has anyone heard, by chance, if this very intriguing feature will be open to W-Space? I'm thinking a resounding 'no' will fly out from CCP's mouth to make me a sad Minmatar, but one can always dream. ;)

Ooh ooh. I didn't understand most of what I just saw, but it all looks gibberously excitermerating. Especially if eventually with Incarna/DUST you might be able to take a tour of your own facilities.

Oh REALLY... I guess I'm going to have to eat my words over on my blog where I'm pshawing the idea of CCP giving W-Space holders that kinda love. *Grin*

Thanks for the reply.
