Friday Video: Vexille, the evolution
I grew up watching Robotech during the 80s at the crack of dawn on week-ends, and fell in love with Japanese animation, as well as manga. Some of my favorites are films like Patlabor, Detonator Orgun, Ghost in the Shell, as well as NausicaƤ. Each are very different styles and stories, yet all caught my interests. Which is why I was truly excited when I cam across Vexille. And though the story wasn't up to par with the visual quality of this anime, it was still well worth my time! Here's the trailer!

This movie is awsome. You should watch Appleseed as well. It is animated in the same style as Vexille and is written by Masamune Shirow (Ghost in the Shell). It doesn't get much better :)
We spoke about this IRL before, but I really just want them to make another Appleseed. They promised more. More GiTS would be great as well.
I'm trying to come up with a story concept using issues of Intron Depot, Galhound and Galgrease (all artbooks by Masamune-sama). It's a side-project.
Appleseed is a great movie. Vexille was so so but was still worth the watch. Brings me back to the days of Gundam 08th MS team and watching Cowboy Bebop.
I really enjoyed this movie but then I'm a massive fan of GitS and Appleseed
Thanks a lot for both Film tips, I've watched both and they are awsome.
