Right, seeing that tonight!
ya gotta hand it to Peter Jackson. Yet another hit even if he is just the "producer".
Well - I know what I'm seeing on Orange Wednesday.
It's been a while since anything good Sci-Fi wise came out - I missed Moon 'cos my cinema is only a class 'D'?
Really really awesome film. I'm sure you will like this one CK. I got a mini review up on my blog yesterday in case you're interested.
It was good. It was... jarring. This was a brutal movie that didn't mess around with things that might be disturbing. This is a harsh movie that logically steps through some of the most horrible, gruesome things imagined since the Third Reich. They are the story, and they can't really be separated. There is no way to make a PG version of this without losing it.
I admit, the ending is a little cheesy, since "the heroes" live and succeed against crazy odds, and this did set up a chance for a sequel, so I can't give this a 10/10. But I can say, this is the movie you must see this year if you think you can handle it.
As a footnote, this film does lose a bit since I think cinema verite is crap.
awesome.
I'm now really stoked at going to see this film ...
