A practical guide to staying current in EVE Online: Podcasts & Streamers

EVE Online podcasts and streamers that keep you up to date

If you want to stay in the know about what’s happening in New Eden—the shifting geopolitics, wars and alliances, the economy and trade meta, and the steady stream of “wait… when did that become a thing?” tips and tricks—having a few solid podcasts and shows in your rotation makes a big difference. They’re the easiest way to get both the headlines and the context, whether you fly every day or you’re coming back after a break.

This post is a curated list of currently active EVE Online podcasts, shows, and creators. Each entry includes what they cover, who it’s best for, and where to listen or watch—so you can find the right “keep me current” feed without digging around.

This list is a work in progress. It’s what I’ve been able to find and verify over the last few weeks, across audio podcasts and Twitch/YouTube shows. If you know other great EVE podcasts, shows, or creators—especially niche ones (wormholes, industry, abyssal deadspace , factional warfare, markets, exploration, etc.)—please share them in the comments and I’ll expand the list.

EVE Online podcasts

1) Declarations of War (DoW)

What it covers: A long-running current-events show focused on wars, PvP meta, and the politics around conflict — often with guests and a “what happened + why it matters” lens (frequently from the mercenary / Noir.-adjacent orbit). It explicitly brands itself as “EVE’s longest running” podcast.

Best for: Null/low conflict watchers, PvP-minded pilots, anyone who likes the meta-story behind the explosions.

Where to listen/watch:

2) Federation Front Line Report (FFLR)

What it covers: Weekly Faction Warfare news “with a dash of wisecracking,” with veterans walking through what’s changing and why it matters.

Best for: Militia pilots, FW-curious roamers, returning players wondering what the warzone looks like now.

Where to listen/watch:

3) EVE Online – The Oz Report

What it covers: Markets, trade, price movement, and economy talk from “market guru… and spreadsheet nerd Oz” — plus related analysis (MER, trends, “why is this suddenly 3x more expensive?”).

Best for: Traders, industrialists, market PvPers, or anyone who wants the economic weather report for New Eden.

Where to listen/watch:

Video/Twitch-first shows that “function like podcasts”

4) Untethered (The New Eden Post)

What it covers: Weekly “drama and news of New Eden” in a talk-show format — more headlines + storyline + community pulse than mechanics deep-dives.

Best for: Folks who want to stay current on the big narratives, community chatter, and “what’s going on out there?”

Where to watch:

5) Open Comms Show

What it covers: EVE talk-show vibes — current events, community chatter, and “spaceships + social” energy (often spicy, often funny).

Best for: If you like EVE as a living political/community ecosystem and want the “bar talk” version of what’s happening.

Where to watch/listen:

6) The Meta Show (Imperium News Network)

What it covers: Big-picture “meta” talk: news, bloc politics, narratives, and event chatter, hosted on Imperium News Network.

Best for: Nullsec storyline followers, bloc-level politics watchers, anyone who wants the strategic narrative layer.

Where to watch/listen:

7) EVE Pulse (official EVE show)

What it covers: CCP’s “here’s what’s new” video format — a clean, official recap lane.
Best for: New/returning players who want official info, highlights, and updates without the meta-drama layer.
Where to watch:

Big EVE Online channels on YouTube & Twitch

These aren’t “podcasts,” but if you want live EVE (and VODs), these are staples:

1) CCP (official)

What it covers: Official streams, events, guest creator takeovers, patch/event coverage.

Best for: Big announcements, community events, official campaigns/drops.

Where to watch/listen:

2) MarkeeDragon

What it covers: EVE (and other complex MMOs/sandbox games), frequent live presence.

Best for: Regular EVE viewing with a community feel.

Where to watch/listen:

3) Loru Gaming (Lorumerth)

What it covers: High-volume EVE creator with lots of “new/returning player” guidance and practical how-to content.

Best for: People who want structured guides and repeatable routines/checklists.

Where to watch/listen:

4) The Drone Bay

What it covers: The Drone Bay is a long-running EVE show that originally launched as an early community podcast (spring 2008) and has since been revived on YouTube by Crovan with co-host Tharus Marr (see this post for full details). The current YouTube-era episodes mix “what we’ve been doing in New Eden” with current events and commentary—including updates and discussion around major releases like Equinox, plus the knock-on effects those changes have across the game.

Best for: Pilots who want a conversational “weekly catch-up” format that sits between news recap and community chat—good for both returning players (context + orientation) and veterans who like keeping an ear on what’s changing.

Where to watch:

5) Rushlock

What it covers: EVE streams plus Q&A/help-friendly sessions.

Best for: Live “ask questions, get answers” energy.

Where to watch/listen:

6) Ashterothi

What it covers: Lore/context + long-form discussion and shows (often event/community oriented).

Best for: If you like the “why this matters” layer and broader context around EVE’s ecosystem.

Where to watch/listen:

7) Aceface

What it covers: “Chill… channel focusing on EVE Online” with lots of videos across different topics.

Best for: A steady stream of EVE content in a relaxed style.

Where to watch/listen:

That’s my current shortlist of active EVE podcasts, shows, and creators. If you’re trying to stay current, start with one or two that match how you play (news/politics, markets, FW, guides) and build from there. And if I missed a great show—or there’s one you swear by—drop it in the comments so I can keep expanding the list.
