The EVE Blog Pack Expansion - This is your chance!

The EVE Blog Pack is over a year old by now, and despite some tweaking here and there, it's in need of some much needed TLC. Indeed, some of its members have stopped writing and over the last few months we've seen a significant increase in the number of dedicated EVE blogs - some of which are definitely Pack material. Add to that the constant influx of emails and enquiries I receive about wanting to be included in the Blog Pack.

It was time I overhauled the membership.

So today, as one contest comes to a close, I'm opening the door and giving a chance to new bloggers to join the rank of this elite EVE blogging crew. I'm also giving a chance to those outdated blogs, whose authors have neglected to feed in the last few weeks, dare I say last few months. Update those blogs, lest you'll be bumped off the Pack!

Interested bloggers simply have to submit their blog URL in the comments below, not forgetting to explain why they believe they should become a member of the Pack.

In order to be fair, I'll be increasing the number of pack members to 40 and accepting submissions until the end of the month. Come September 1st, I'll review the applicants and make my choice as to who makes the cut amongst the new members.

Rest assured, the "active" members have nothing to worry about. The ones with out of date blogs though, do. You've been warned... mouaahhahahahhaha!!!!

Good luck to all!

Ah, please consider my BLOG as a candidate.

And why should it be worthy?

Because I'm the first here to submit my link here in the comments section!

Good enough reason for me! :p

You can consider me as well please. My blog is http://www.podlogs.com/handsoffmyloots (formerly The New Eden Diaries).

I've been in and out of the blogging scene since I started play eve and I've finally found something in game to keep me posting!

I'd like Ecliptic Rift to receive consideration as a candidate. Not only do I regularly write flash-length fiction, I update regularly on OOC matters regarding IC news and game updates.

Plus, we need more industrialists represented. Pirates are made of awesome, but diversification matters!

Well CK, you know I'll have to throw mine in as well:

Rettic's Log: The Chronofile

I really love keeping up with the community of bloggers. I'd consider many of them friends at this point, and just look forward to making more. Rettic isn't going anywhere. If you can afford to have a relatively green EVE voice in the mix, I'm your guy.

Take me out to the black, tell them I ain't coming back…

Kesper said...

And please consider my blog, Northern Lights!

To my knowledge it is the only blog dedicated to solo PVP. I also have plans to expand into fiction as well.

Thx CK! :D

I'd like to submit Ashnazg's blog, Corpse Collection Point, for consideration.

My reasoning being that he's an entertaining writer, an informed and experienced player, and provides a good blend of ingame experiences and RP fiction. I think he at least deserves to be considered for a spot in the 'Pack.

I'd definitely like another chance to get back into the blog pack.

http://articulatedsky.com/

If I were in the blog pack, I feel that it'd help me get my graphics service out to more people. I have a goal (or really a geeky dream) to become a popular graphic designer within EVE. Especially as graphic design is the direction my life is going right now.

Also, I'd love for more people to read my fiction stories. The main thing holding me back is the lack of reader feedback, which I feel I'd get if I were in the blog pack.

Plus, I was one of the original blog pack members haha. :P

Submitting my blog for review, CK. It's only a matter of time before all of New Eden is reading it anyway. No fan faction here. No crying about game mechanics, or contributions to the latest set of speculations by fellow bloggers. Only pure, unadulterated Velocity Prime, CEO of EVE's Premiere Ninja Salvaging Corporation.

I'd be very interested in joining. Reasons to take me on board: Participation in the blog banters, an interest to connect even more with several blogs already part of the blog back, and a blog written from a public in character perspective (meaning what I write, other characters can read and take into roleplay) which is a clanninging but also very fun concept.

I feel what I write could add something extra to what the pack already provides. No hard feelings however when not accepted, this started as a personal project after all, and at the end of the day I love to write.

I would like for my blog to be considered for the pack.
My blog is strictly in character, it follows the life of a capsuleer who joined PIE, the third oldest corporation in New Eden.
It focuses heavily on her interaction with other members of the Praetoria and other various individuals she's met along the way.
Also it gives an insight of what it is like to be a member of the Amarrian militia.
I update regularly!

Several of the candidate blogs here have such high quality I thought they already were in the pack.

Must blog this.

Hi CK,

please add me! i have started blogging because of the blog pack! it has been the inspiration for my writing. I really enjoy writing and have lots more to come. I am pretty active and hope to have 2 to 3 steady posts a week with Eve adventures or fiction storys. also i intent to add some art on occasional basis however drawing is very time consuming. if you want a quick sneaky peak at mynxee fresh out of a clone vat bay;

http://nashhkadavreveblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/ramblings-1.html

its not finished but i hope to add it to the 3rd of 4 chapters of my first fiction story.

so pick me pick me!

I would like my blog to be considered for inclusions in to the eve blog pack. From reading the current blog pack I don’t see to many pilots who are part of large 0.0 alliances (there are some like Manasi), but most of the blogs are pirates or solo PvPer’s. I therefore believe that I will offer another view which is not as represented as it could be in the current blog pack.

OK so sometimes I don't post in a while cuz Real Life sort of gets in the way, but at least I post more than once in a blue moon.

Besides, it's Let's fault !!!

Hi CK. I think you should add me to the blog pack for three reasons.

1)I blog frequently (5-6 posts per week)
2)I think you're a god among men (no brown-nosing here...)
3)I'm getting an article published in the next issue of EON magazine. Which makes me.. you know.. hot stuff :)

Over at http://theplanetriskshow.com we are a small corp that decided to leave the carebear life and head out to wormhole space. He have been living in w-space for 3 months now in the system we named Planet Risk and the blog reports on our lessons learned, our journey of evolving from carebears to newbs.

The blog is complimented by a live Radio show, with Hosts Luminus Aardokay and Quivering Palm, airing every Wednesday at 20:00 EVE Time at Split Infinity Radio http://siradio.fm

Starting next week we will also host some PVP experts and we will be also covering the Alliance tournament as it unfolds!

I'd like you to consider Loaded Barrels.

A reason, you say... (I'm totally going to brag now) I like to think I provide a good mix of info from the several aspects of the game I dabble in.

Thanks CK!

Heya Crazy K, I'm new to the whole Eve thing and blog thing but I reckon I'll give it a shot. Here's a link to the beginning adventures of Floyd Foggytreks: http://forwardfortuity.blogspot.com/

I hope you like it and I hope my reasons for being included in the blog pack are evident in the writing! Love your stuff and I can't wait to see some more about Avatar.

Putting mine up, and leaving it to it's own merits.

Beowolf Schaefer said...

For your consideration:
Linky

I have been writing on it since late 2008 with a post a week at minimum pretty much the whole time. Content varies from in-game activities to opinion pieces on game development to tactics discussions, fitting suggestions and wormhole explorations. Recent posts have centerd on my experiences since recently joining the Clown Punchers Syndicate.

I sometimes participate in the blog banters thought not the more recent ones.

Best of luck to the other contributors.

To be honest, I don't feel qualified for this, but...

Please consider Yarrbear Tales (00sage00.wordpress.com). Many other Eve blogs focus on recollections of in-game experiences or fan fiction. I think there's enough of that. Instead, Yarrbear Tales is dedicated more to guides and reviews of tools.

Some examples:
Piloting Savviness (http://00sage00.wordpress.com/2009/06/02/piloting-saaviness/)
Punisher Guide (http://00sage00.wordpress.com/2009/07/10/the-punisher-guide/)
EveHQ Review (http://00sage00.wordpress.com/2009/08/04/evehq-one-tool-for-everything/)

Please consider my blog "A Pirates Life For Me!"

http://evepiratecaptain.blogspot.com/

Not sure it is up to par with the others, but I think it is entertaining and tells about life as new pilot, both the fun parts and dumb mistakes.

Thanks.

Reasons I should be considered? I've been gaming since the Atari 2600, have been in EVE 4 years now and my posts are usually more complex than "Yarrr! yarrr! yarrr!
or, "If we extrapolate yearly production quotas beyond fiscal year 2010 and add in calculations for per annuity compounding of interest while comparing against last years income/expenditures we can fidure out that by this time in 2025.... AHHHHH MY EYEBALLS JUST MELTED!"

Inglix the Mad, Points of View from the Center of the Edge

I'll give it to you for review. Published once a week minimum, but more probably twice a week, depending on my in-game adventures and my dissection of the Eve model.

i think you should consider me as a potential candidate because of my view of the eve universe,i may not be the most literary literate,(what?) but i think my humorous-to-some outlook and musings can be something people may enjoy.

CK,

Please consider adding Journey to New Eden (http://journeytoneweden.blogspot.com) to our blog pack. After a bit of a hiatus, I'm back with a vengeance. I've got plenty to talk about and now that I have some experience under my belt, I want to help provide new players up to speed.

Being in the blog pack will drive additional traffic that will have the added bonus of making me feel more guilty about skipping a day or two of posting.

Star Defender said...

My blog covers wormhole exploration and market trends relating to making a living in W-space.

Actually submitting my blog based on reader requests to do so.

I have roughly 1,900 daily visitors with active comments and regular postings.

I follow over 10 blogs from the blog pack online and via Capsuleer - love it! Great job.

I'll keep my spot for now by posting some easy, but informative, very informative CK, exploration posts!

Good luck again.

+1 for adding Star Defenders Wormhole Blog - it's an excellent read and he's got a high posting frequency. Most of the time you can find good discussions going inthe comments as well.

make mine a double please...

Wish to throw in for Star Defenders wormhole blog.

http://eve-wormholes.blogspot.com/

He has been active for the last three months and keeps the blog updated fairly often. Not as much as I want. But there is only so much he can do.

Also wish to ask how you and Capsuleer interact. Cause I really want Star Defender to show up on there.

Just cause I'm lazy

CrazyKinux,

The Canux Corporation of New Eden journal is a collection of stories related "in character" and set in the Eve universe.

The goal of the project is to perform the role of the blogger--that is to narrate, chronicle, comment, educate or otherwise add value to Eve, but to do it in an entertaining and immersive way.

For instance, Salvaging the Day describes the ship rig changes in Apocrypha 1.5 but does so from the point of view of the in-game characters affected by them. A Class Act was originally meant as the setup to a response to your planetary control contest, but will be used to enable all manner of new pilot training.

I ask you to please consider adding my journal to your blog pack.

Thanks,

-Namkha

I've been a player of EvE for 3 years now. I live EvE day in, day out and I really enjoy sharing my experiences with other players.

I have a tonne of advice to give, especially to new players who want to pirate. I blog very regularly and play even more. I am interested in the culture of EvE Online as a massive community of space nutters and I love to contribute all I can for the enjoyment and future of EvE Online for every player, old and new.

I have taken the time to write several guides based on my own and my corp mates experiences.

I really hope you consider me for the blog pack as I have put a lot of work into my content. Thanks for listening CrazyKinux. Keep up the great work.
